The High Road and The Low Road

Both South Australian and Victorian Groups will meat up for a night in Wangaratta, and a welcoming dinner at the RSL.

We will then travel over the Great Alpine Road with a leisurely lunch stop at Myrtleford, before overnighting at Dinner Plain Alpine Village. Next day another easy ramble down to Bairnsdale where we will probably stop for two nights. This gives everyone a chance to visit Lakes Entrance, Sale and the wonderful motor museum at Maffra.

Day five and we travel around the coast to Eden, with a possible deviation to Mallacoota for lunch. This is about 25km off the main highway, and then 25km back by the same road, but I am told is well worth the deviation, as there is a highly rated hotel lunch on offer. Two nights in Eden, allowing everyone to take in the wonderful maritime history, and perhaps even do a spot of Whale Watching.

Our penultimate day takes us along the Sapphire Coast to Mollymook, where the gourmands may care to make a (Expensive) booking at Rick Stein's Restaurant (Rick Stein at Bannisters - you can also stay in 5 star accommodation here!). Our final day will me an easy two hour dive from Mollymook to Mittagong, just in time to have a look around the town, book into your accommodation, and check in for the Main Event.
